The Bachelor of Arts in English program aims to develop among its students a proficiency in the English language through a comprehensive skills training in oral and written language. It also serves as a preparation for further studies in law. With a specialization in Broadcast Journalism, the program is design to produce graduates for a career in media as reporter, newscaster, producer, or journalist online, TV or radio. Skills in interviewing, announcing or hosting, and delivering news are further developed through practical activities, community immersion, and training and exposure to prominent personalities and companies of media.Major subjects of study concentrate on knowledge of English Language structure; communication theory ; literature ; cross-cultural communication; language, society and culture; broadcast journalism; theater arts; creative and technical writing ; film ; college English teaching; and, research
