The Closing Program of the ALCUCOA Accreditation Visit became a powerful celebration of UCC’s dedication to quality, unity, and shared purpose. It was a moment where every effort, every initiative, and every heart that worked behind this milestone was recognized with pride. One by one, the esteemed accreditors shared heartfelt commendations—each highlighting the unique strengths that define the University of Caloocan City.
Dr. Carolina Duka offered high praise to the UCC “Heroes”, reaffirming a message that continues to inspire every UCCian: “Basta sama-sama, kayang-kaya". Her words captured the essence of a community that thrives when united.
Following this, Dr. Florida Labuguen commended the administration for its commitment and acknowledged UCC’s full compliance with accreditation requirements. She encouraged continuous improvement — supporting one another step by step, one by one.
Highlighting the essence of governance and ethical service, Dr. Amalia Rosales emphasized two powerful words that leave a lasting mark: Public Service. She shared that she is deeply interested in nurturing individuals who understand what it truly means to serve in government—where public service is service to the people. She expressed admiration for UCC’s commitment to shaping graduates who serve with both integrity and gratitude: "Marunong bumalik kung saan ang pinanggalingan". A reminder that service, at its core, is a responsibility rooted in humility and love for the community.
Dr. Rosenda De Gracia emphasized a standard that rises above mediocrity: "Excellence means 'Hindi pwede ang pwede na". She also praised UCC’s strong organizational culture, describing it as a true family, and confidently affirmed that UCC has everything it takes to succeed.
The accreditors for Bachelor of Science in Business Administration programs; Dr. Daniel Hebron, Dr. Julio Castillo, and Dr. Brandford Antonio Martinez, commended the University’s high level of professionalism, strong culture of innovation, and conducive learning environment. They further acknowledged UCC’s steadfast pursuit of enhanced academic quality, recognizing faculty members for their continued excellence and students for consistently demonstrating commitment, passion, and determination.
"This is the first university that the President offered to take me to the center that I would want to see-that alone is the manifestation of a very humble, hands-on, and handsome Officer-in-Charge", remarked by Dr. Rosemarie Sabado, ALCUCOA’s Supervising Accreditor, expressing admiration for UCC’s high standards in both outputs and outcomes.
"You set the bar higher in terms of standards and quality—not only of outputs but also in outcomes". She further emphasized that UCC develops students who possess both character and intellect, producing graduates who are fully prepared to excel in their chosen fields. Dr. Sabado also urged the University’s leadership to always safeguard its greatest asset: its people.
Representing the academic core, Dr. Cattleya Yee and Asst. Prof. Reynaldo Carandang reaffirmed the University’s collective spirit as commended by the Accreditors: "Sa UCC, walang imposible. We are Heroes. We can do it!"
Finally, Atty. Jessamine Jared Nas expressed profound gratitude, underscoring that even the simplest initiatives can serve as catalysts for meaningful transformation. What once began as a straightforward effort to provide identification cards for every UCCian has evolved into a decisive move toward pursuing accreditation. A true demonstration that through small purposeful actions, it can lead to significant progress.
Dr. Wenald H. Lopez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, formally closed the event with a call for continued unity and progress: "Together, we will continue to rise, improve, and strengthen our service to every Batang Kankaloo. We are ONE UCC—World-class, Innovative, Sustainable, and Empowered (WISE) Community."
